The house of many fires
Built in 1948, "El Cakchiquel" was one of the first hotels on Lake Atitlán. Over the years, it became a meeting place for intellectuals, artists, and writers, with legends such as Ernesto "Che" Guevara and Ingrid Bergman among those who graced its halls.
Today, the house has been carefully restored and now serves as a Museum & Gallery, showcasing some of Guatemala's most remarkable historical photography.
